Completions Tech

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and analytical support for field operations and engineering within the Completions Department

  • Perform data mining and analysis, as well as provides sound corporate analytics for planning, cost tracking and operational optimization

  • Responsible for data quality, accuracy and analysis across all completion initiatives

  • Assist with AFE preparation and well cost tracking, including invoicing reconciliation

  • Deploy developed analysis and drilling and completions reports with Spotfire and other discipline-specific reporting tools

  • Work with Drilling Tech to create, update and distribute daily drilling curves, completions efficiencies and other necessary reports to drilling and completions team

  • Maintain records related to completions contracts, vendor applications and inquiries, and well history

  • Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management

  • Own drilling and completions data assets including reports, data warehouse, partner reports, etc.

  • Assist engineers in operational procedures and processes both upstream and downstream of drilling and completions

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate redundant processes

  • Must be proficient in Wellview and experience in Spotfire is a major plus

EHS Coordinator

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all functions of the EHS department to ensure the health and safety of Colgate employees and contractors are a priority for all

  • First line responder to all incidents, spills and injuries on company property

  • Responsible for development and implementation of company EHS programs and develop procedures that will ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies

  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices

  • Ensure that all EHS data reported to regulatory authorities is accurate both on the internal side as well as when viewed from public databases

  • Create and automate ESG reporting processes for investors and management teams

  • Work with Operations team in identification and reduction of GHG emissions, flaring, spill rates, TRIR, etc.

  • Work with Regulatory Department to ensure timely reporting of all documents required for federal, state and local authorities (air permitting, spill reporting, emissions reporting, etc.)

Reservoir Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Technical evaluation of oil and gas properties including offset analysis, type curve generation, reserves and economics modeling

  • Assist in coordination of development planning activities across multiple teams including GIS, land, technical, budgeting, scheduling, and execution groups; prepare associated technical planning documents for dissemination across teams

  • Performance analysis: analyzing well results to track performance against expectations, develop incremental understandings, and incorporating learnings into future development planning

  • Coordinate data trades with peer operators: identify data gaps and needs, integrate trade data with internal systems, analyze competitor performance, and incorporate learnings into asset development plans

  • Work with operations team for ongoing decision-making around frac-hit mitigations, flowback and artificial lift strategy, recommending and analyzing gathered science/data

  • Assist in the improvement of data integration practices between teams and systems

  • Track geo-technical science learnings and disseminate across teams

  • Create and maintain purpose-built analytics and visuals

  • Must be proficient at working with large datasets and associated programs, including Spotfire, Alteryx and SQL

  • Must be proficient at petroleum reserves and economics and using associated software including ComboCurve and/or Aries

  • Requires 3+ years of relevant reservoir engineering experience

Well Planner

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan surface designs for multiple asset teams that reflect drill pads, facility pads, roads, electric, and takeaway

  • Collaborate with Mineral & Surface Land, Facilities, Regulatory, Geologist, Reservoir, Operations, Construction, and 3rd party vendors for project development

  • Advise Drilling Engineers on appropriate survey programs and technology

  • Coordinate surface inspections with Construction Department

  • Utilize Drones and Satellite imagery for high detail surface planning

  • Conduct on-sites with BLM on federal lands

  • Must be proficient in AutoCad, Compass and have experience working in New Mexico

Marketing Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily management of relationships with marketing counterparties

  • Communicate with operations team regarding future midstream connections for new development and existing takeaway

  • Analyze existing marketing contracts and optimize potential uplift including analysis of take-in-kind rights

  • Work with A&D team on marketing assumptions for deal evaluations

  • Distribute volume forecasts to marketing counterparties and provide updates as applicable

  • Work with budgeting team on expected realizations from sales of liquids, gas and crude Provide nominations for downstream commitments to applicable counterparties
